I have told these guys time and time again that they are the ONLY place I trust to go to in and get work done on my car. They always go above and beyond to help me and all of their customers out. They will always try their best to give you the best deal and always take the time to explain everything to you step by step so you understand what is going on and why. These guys know their stuff! Honest and friendly. We broke down on I-5 on a long road trip far from home. They fit us in as quickly as they could. Did an expert repair job. They even called the next day to follow up and see if everything was OK (who does that any more?)! I highly recommend Chico Auto Tech!

These guys did my smog and they were amazing! I made an appointment and I was so surprised that my car was ready in 7 minutes. The mechanic also checked my breaks, my tires, and driving belt just to make sure my car was good to go (and nothing was sold to me in that regard). I highly recommend them.

UPDATE: I have been back to Chico Auto Tech for a few things since my first experience with them (smog) and they continue to be professional and amazing. This last time my AC stopped working on a hot week and they were able to get me in with a very short notice and fixed my car in no time. Thanks again> You have earned my business

Where do I start? 2018 Audi. Have had multiple accidents and they’ve been there to help me each and every time. Whether I’m spending a couple hundred or thousand I always get the same treatment. Respect and courtesy. There has not been a time when I haven’t gotten my car back exactly how it should’ve been returned. Great shop, I’ll never go to another one. It’s just that simple.

We needed a new temperature sensor, which we ordered in Germany and you installed it first class into the cooling system when it arrived after three days in Chico. You did a great job!

Last but not least, you gave us three liters of original VW coolant, of which we still have some in reserve.

My husband and I bring our three cars here for routine maintenance and the occasional repairs. Both him and I like the transparency Ryan and Ben give us in regards to what preventative maintenance needs to be addressed, and they do so in a way that does not make us feel needlessly pressured.

We've been bringing our cars here for years, and I feel the most comfortable with them when compared to other mechanics in town who have been rude, dishonest, and questionable.

Best mechanics in town, I recommend highly. I would normally just go to whatever mechanic was available or close to my residence, once I started going to Chico Auto Tech I never went anywhere else. They have the knowledge and skill to keep your vehicle up and running, keep it up guys!!!

I have been going to Chico Auto Tech for years. They are thorough, fair priced, they have sone quality work on every vehicle I have taken to them. They’re professional and everyone is super nice. I wouldn’t go any where else for my auto repair.

Have used them half a dozen times. I have caught them being honest more than a few times, and they are good at what they do. I have a service background and yes this is very rare nowadays.

They truly care about their work and their responsibility to their customers. I’ve worked in sales, retail, and healthcare for nearly 20 years. If there’s one thing I know, it’s how to spot genuine care vs. someone trying to make a quick buck. I know every time I go to Chico Auto Tech I’m going to get the best quality work at a fair price.

Multiple times I’ve brought my family’s cars in for emergency repair, and the notify me of some maintenance that needs to be done. One time it was the shocks that were virtually nonexistent. This last time our brake pads were getting low.

If they notice something dangerous they’re going to let me know for the safety of me and my family. If I need to wait and come back later, there’s no pressure, they’re happy to provide a quote so I can come back when I’m ready.

I called in to cancel an appointment that was actually a rescheduled appt., and I honestly was on the verge of tears. Lol. They were so nice. I have a Jeep who has been my best jump and run buddy for ten years now, and there is something quirky going on with it. I needed C.A.T. to drive it and run a diagnostic. I did have someone jump in and offer to run a complete diagnostic, no charge, and right now, that was extremely helpful. We discovered that the problem is relatively minor and I'm relieved. I will add that Chico Auto Techs was highly recommended by a local mechanic who has referred others when he is over scheduled with fleet work, etc. He said he has never been disappointed with the feedback he receives from their shared clients. So, with that said, I will have no inhibitions to return to them for major repair work when it is needed. Thank you, Chico Auto Techs, for your understanding of my little dilemma.

I was getting frustrated with the dealership and found a card on my window offering a 15% on a oil change. Perfect timing at I needed a front bearing replaced. So I called to see what they could do. I have a very busy schedule and travel a lot but they accommodated me. They did great work, stayed in touch and even performed a follow up customer service call to see that all is good. The icing on the cake was that I saved $150 over the dealership quote. Ben and Mark will get all of my business going forward.

I have had Benjamin Chester work on my cars a few times before he opened this facility. To say he is honest and hard working is an understatement. He takes the time to explain what he is doing while working with the customers knowledge base. He will explain cost options and always look to help someone out. Every job he has done on my each of my cars has been more than fairly priced, either at or below estimate, and usually ready is a more than timely manner.

I just took my 2007 Chevy Tahoe there due to it starting to sway massively on windy roads and they found an amazing sway bar kit and installed and now my Tahoe is DOING AMAZING on windy roads. First off, this is my first YELP review ever, and I am writing it because I have been moved to.

I have never been treated so kindly and honestly by an auto shop in my life. Mark and Ben are the two guys who make up Chico Auto Tech. Both of these guys serve as the example of, not only how to fix your car, but how to treat the people that drive them.

They will treat you with respect. They will not overcharge you. They will work with you. They listen to you, and do their absolute best to diagnose and fix the problem with your car.

If I ever have car trouble in Northern California again, without a doubt, I will bring it back here. I do not live in Chico, but my girlfriend and I were on our way out of Chico when our 1980 Vanagon began "bucking". I dropped the van off, and Ben was welcoming, attentive, engaged and understanding. He let us explain the situation, as well as what we knew, and what we didn't. Mark was the one who eventually worked on the van, but it was nice to know that just because he would not be the one working on the van, did not mean that he did not care about the issue.

I can not thank Mark and Ben enough for what they have done for us. If you want your car diagnosed correctly, fixed properly, and the confidence to drive away knowing your machine is in tip-top shape, take your car to Chico Auto Tech, you will be as thankful as I am today. So I've been driving my 98 Camry for about two years thinking my AC is broken. I called around town and my first place was solid booked for weeks. My second choice was Chico auto tech. Got a price quote from the owner for AC and it's the same around town. He calls me the following day and says that I have AC. My AC is fine. Didn't charge me a thing for checking my car out. I'm pissed that I drove it without AC in during the hot summer days for about two years BUT I'm also VERY thankful that I found a HONEST and ETHICAL auto repair shop in town.

I have taken my car and my boyfriend's car into this shop a few times now, and I feel like I have received nothing but the best. Ben is the greatest. I am college student that is far from home, and I was worried about finding a shop to go to because I didn't want to get screwed over. I have found my new go to car shop. They make you feel comfortable and definitely try finding the greatest deal for you, and I have never felt like I was being overcharged. They explain everything going on to you and make sure you are understanding what is going on. They make sure your car is safe when they give it back, and they mean it when they say they care about your safety. They have always been able to work with us. A solid 12/10 place.

Fast and courteous service! I appreciated how Mark explained the specifics and answered my questions. They understand folks being on a budget.

My son had some work done there last year. Chico Auto Tech replaced the battery and alternator. That repair worked well. Now, I needed the receipt for the battery, 8 months later. Mark answered the phone, and was able to pull up the receipt to help me out. He offered to get the battery replace, but I am now out of state. So the shop seems well run and I would go there if I was in in that neighborhood.
